NOTES

Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Book Preview: #1 I had a near-death experience in 1976, which profoundly affected my life. I was never comfortable, and I couldn't find any position that was restful or relaxing. I was disconnected from my life, having lost my way. I was unable to attach to anything or anybody. #2 I had been experimenting with stretching, and I was convinced that it was the right idea to heal myself. I knew there must be a secret to stretching that would allow me to be as flexible as those lucky few who seemed to be born that way. #3 I began to stretch my muscles, and as I did, I realized that muscles can actually stretch and contract at the same time. I developed more and more stretches, and I learned that each muscle needed to be stretched on the opposite side before being stretched itself. #4 I contracted my muscles while stretching, and I was surprised by the increases in my flexibility. I thought I could get results faster if I stretched for longer periods of time and did more repeats of the same stretch
