A century and a half later, in 2150, an archaeologist finds a metal part on the bottom of the Atlantic which proves the existence of Atlantis. But this isn't just any old city, it's a highly technological civilization which had a "cosmic memory network" that encompassed the memories of every living body on Earth. Once the machine is turned on their collective consciousness re-emerges into the network, flooding the minds of all modern humans with shared nightmares and dreams. Conflict: Is the thing too dangerous to use, or are these memories hiding the clues to human evolution?
