Montgomery. Jane of Lantern Hill is the story of an unsatisfied girl living with her mother; aunt and cranky old grandmother in Toronto; Ontario. When Jane eventually gets to meet her father and spends a summer on the island at Lantern Hill; she believes life couldn't get any better than that. Lucy Maud Montgomery was born on 30th November 1874; New London; in the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island.
