When one man's pain becomes his life, all else seems to drop beneath him like a ton of bricks. This is very much the case for resident psychopath Genghis Boy, who is on the hunt for the demon responsible for his lover's demise three years ago. In her absence, he's raised their children alone while spiraling into a nightly routine of excessive drinking while preoccupied with thoughts regarding the demon working as a warrior of God, Penance. With the help of his loyal crew, also known as the Devil Chasers, Genghis traverses the hellish archipelago known as Heathen's Barrow, which is infested with monsters both human and not. Can Genghis find vengeance for his fallen lover, or will his own inner demons make him spiral even further down a hole he cannot escape?
