Every sector was plastered with fading posters printed decades ago: "Obedience is Survival," "The Surface Will Shine Again," and "Command Sees All." In Sector A, students recited loyalty oaths each morning before their lessons, saluting the rusted emblem of the old world like it still meant something. In Sector B, walls were lined with cheerful diagrams of water filtration and slogans like "Every Drop for the Future." Even Sector D, the living quarters, wasn't safe-graffiti was painted over with official messages, and a loudspeaker looped soft, low music layered under recorded messages about unity and sacrifice.
