ESL & Literacy Services

Spanish is the second most spoken language in the United States, with over 42 million people speaking it at home. It’s also the most popular language to learn after English, with about 8 million students. In total, estimates suggest up to 57 million people in the U.S. are native, heritage or second-language Spanish speakers.

At Arlington Heights, we’re here to support English Language Learners through our ESL & Literacy Office located on the first floor. Our dedicated team not only assists Spanish speakers with their English language needs but also connects them with Spanish-speaking volunteers who help others in the community brush up on their Spanish skills.

Join our vibrant language community! We offer a Spanish conversation club, "Hablemos Español," and an English for Spanish Speakers session (Inglés para hispanohablantes), both held twice a month.
