Freeze/Unfreeze Holds

Freeze your holds to keep your place in the queue while holds for people further down in the list are filled. This feature is perfect for when you go on vacation. Your item won't become available for you while you are away and you won't lose your place in line.

To freeze a hold:

  • Find your list of holds on the My Account page under the My Holds heading.
  • Click the Freeze box to the right of each item you wish to freeze.
  • Click the Update Holds button.

Holds can't be frozen if:

  • The item is available on the shelf.
  • The hold has already been filled and is awaiting pickup.
  • The item has been on hold for more than 255 days.

To unfreeze your holds:

  • Uncheck the Frozen check box next to each item you wish to unfreeze.
  • Click the Update Holds button.

Holds can't be unfrozen if:

  • If the item has been on hold for more than 255 days.
