Local Resources in the Hispanic Community

National Latino Education Institute - NLEI offers training programs that are nationally accredited and recognized and approved by the Illinois State Board of Education and the U.S. Department of Education. NLEI provides workforce initiatives, comprehensive employment services and in-demand education training leading to sustained self-sufficiency. 

Latino Summit - A group of dedicated education professionals in conjunction with support from Latino professionals hosts an annual conference where approximately 500 students from Northwest Community High Schools assemble at Harper College to listen to keynote speakers, interact with panelists, and view presentations from Latino professionals, college students, and college representatives.  

Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement - HACE cultivates the pipeline of Latino talent and provides Latino professionals insight, access, professional development, resources, networks, and access to meaningful career opportunities.

Spanish Coalition for Housing - SCH’s mission is to build generational wealth through housing counseling, financial education, and advocacy by connecting low-to-moderate income households to resources that create housing stability, homeownership, and economic mobility. 

Partners for Our Communities - POC builds partnerships with other community organizations, connects families with local resources, and removes barriers to access by providing survival skills, bringing personal awareness of one’s potential, serving as a site for continuing education, and offering life skills training and vocational advancement. 

Northwest Hispanic Chamber of Commerce - As Hispanic professionals and entrepreneurs living in Chicago’s Northwest suburbs, we are building a community to connect with other professionals and entrepreneurs locally who share our interest, goals, and vision for the future. We are proud to not only welcome the suburban Hispanic community but all communities as we live in a melting pot and the NWHCC embraces integration. Integration is part of our mission and every member has a unique background and a story.
