From one-on-one business advising sessions to virtual training webinars, SCORE is there to support you in your business journey. SCORE is the nation's largest network of volunteer business mentors and a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration. The library proudly partners with SCORE to meet the needs of our local business community. Appointments are free and confidential, with mentors who have experience in all aspects of business.

The second Wednesday of each month, a volunteer from SCORE North Chicago and Lake Counties will be at the library to answer questions about your entrepreneurial endeavors and provide information about SCORE resources for start-ups, small business owners and nonprofit professionals. Whether you have a new business idea and are unsure of the next steps you should take, or you would benefit from advice regarding an existing business, SCORE is a resource you should know about!

Mark Porwit, SCORE Business Mentor and the Arlington Heights SCORE Branch Manager, is able to offer advice and answer your business questions. He is a civic minded business professional that offers proven success in growing revenue and profit. His broad work experience includes: Strategic Planning, Market Analysis and Research, Product Management, New Product Development, Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Supply Chain, Project Management, P&L, and Sustainability.
