Had enough of this relentless snow and cold and the cabin fever that goes with it? The library is a great place to weather your winter woes. We’ve actually been busier than ever even during the worst days when our schools were closed. During the month of January:
- We circulated 220,394 items with our popular materials in the Marketplace accounting for 27% of all checkouts.
- A record 504 customers attended a tech class in our Training Center and 264 had Studio appointments to use our media equipment.
- Many found they could use the library from home - a record 13,000 downloads were made including such items as eBooks, Zinio magazines, and Hoopla movies, music and audiobooks.
- Our Friends of the Library recorded a successful book sale in spite of a weekend of snow, cold, and the Super Bowl.
Even if you don’t feel like venturing out too far, we’re in your neighborhood with the bookmobile, Senior Center and remote book drops, making it convenient for you to pick up or drop off books. And we’re always open at ahml.info.
