Family looking at the LEGO Train Exhibit

More than 3,400 guests stopped by the library's Hendrickson Room this past weekend for some LEGO fun. The amazing, one-of-a-kind creations featured in this two-day exhibit were created by The Northern Illinois LEGO Train Club.

Customers of all ages were dazzled by the details amidst the exhibit, which took more than 80 man-hours to set up. Around 2 million LEGO pieces were used to create iconic landmarks and intricate displays that featured recognizable superheroes, classic cartoons, video game characters and more. The exhibit even featured a castle that took more than one year to construct.

Customers also had the option to visit the first floor and work on a LEGO arts and crafts project throughout the weekend.
