The real-life story of Antonina Zabinska (Jessica Chastain) and her husband, Dr. Jan Zabinski (Johan Heldenbergh), who operate the Warsaw Zoo in 1939 Poland. When the Germans invade their country, Antonina and Jan covertly begin working with the Resistance.
