Event Description

Nicole Lynch discusses the multitude of physical and emotional changes experienced during and after pregnancy. Approximately 20% of pregnant people report experiencing sensations such as anxiety, sadness, depression, panic, frustration, and hopelessness. This informational lecture aims to explore the topic of postpartum depression, with a specific focus on Sara's emotional journey in the book The Two Lives of Sara. The lecture will provide insights into identifying signs and symptoms of postpartum depression and offer guidance on how participants and their families can access relevant resources.

Nicole Lynch is a nurse and nurse educator with a specialty in Maternal Child and Postpartum Mood Disorders. She was a labor and delivery nurse for many years.
