Event Description

Many gardeners think of themselves as perennial gardeners, while others use only annuals. Combining perennials and annuals can give the garden continuous color from the very early part of spring until the latter part of fall. In this presentation by horticulturist Sharon Yiesla, learn how to put these two groups of flowers together to keep your garden lively all season long.

Sharon runs her own business, “Sharon Yiesla, Horticultural Services”, through which she delivers gardening presentations. She earned a BS in horticulture from Purdue University and an MS in horticulture from University of Illinois. Her past accomplishments include teaching at Illinois State University, working as a Horticulture Specialist for University Extension in Missouri, working as a Horticulture Educator with University of Illinois Extension in Lake County and teaching classes at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
