Join us for this program on Zoom or in-person at Arlington Heights Memorial Library.

Pastor Chris Edmonds joins us to tell the story of his father, WWII hero Master Sgt. Roddie Edmonds, whose fearless bravery saved the lives of more than 200 Jewish American soldiers in a prisoner of war camp in Germany. Presented as part of Violins of Hope.

This event is presented in partnership with JCC Chicago, Arlington Heights Memorial Aurora Public Library, Gail Borden Public Library, Joliet Public Library, Schaumburg Township District Library, Skokie Public Library, and Vernon Area Public Library. Presented as part of Violins of Hope: a collection of 70 string instruments played by Jewish musicians before and during the Holocaust that have been painstakingly restored, now touring Chicagoland libraries, museums, and cultural institutions with a message of hope, resistance, resilience, and unity.
