Event Description

Need a little inspiration for your reading list in the new year? Join us for our annual event that celebrates the love of reading. During our interactive evening, we will share what books we are looking forward to in 2024. Take part in an engaging book fair where Advisors will be available to help you discover new genres and new ways to find your next favorite book. Share your own favorite reads, enjoy refreshments, and leave with a revitalized to-read list.

This year we welcome Alice Moody to join us by discussing current publishing trends and what books will be most discussed in the coming year. Alice Moody, founder of Platinum Pen Consulting and co-founder of Between the Covers Book Discussions, is a professional writing coach and book facilitator. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University and the University of Chicago, she began her career as a high school English teacher. In the years since, she has led hundreds of talks at libraries, independent bookstores, community centers, and private homes and venues. In addition to hosting pop-up recommendation events, she runs a popular online literary subscription series and program called Short Stories Live, a unique experience melding live performance with literary discussion. Alice believes in the power of books to build connections and broaden our understanding of humanity.

The Book Stall will be present to give away a free advanced reader copy to each attendee and share upcoming store events.
