Event Description

*This class has been rescheduled*

Fresh Jam with Chef Grace will take place Wednesday, July 17. Registration via lottery begins July 2 at 9 a.m.

Chef Grace Goudie of Scratchboard Kitchen returns to share her recipe for homemade jam. Join this hands-on class where she will teach participants to take summers freshest fruit and turn it into jam. Her technique is adaptable to any type of fruit.

Chef Grace Goudie is Executive Chef at Arlington Heights' Scratchboard Kitchen and a "Chopped" champ. Her passion for cooking began at a young age and led her to the Culinary Institute of America in Napa, CA. She has worked at Thomas Keller’s Ad Hoc and The French Laundry, one of the top-rated restaurants in the world, before making her way back to the Chicago area. Since our opening in 2021, Chef Grace has been a regular instructor in our Makerplace Kitchen, sharing the secrets to her signature composed, but not complicated cooking.

Space is limited. Culinary classes are designed for adults 18+ and limited to one class per month, per Arlington Heights cardholder. Join the lottery from 9 a.m. July 2 to 8:59 a.m. July 3 for a chance to attend. Individuals will be chosen at random and notified by email July 3.
