North School Park - N Evergreen Ave & E Eastman St, Arlington Heights, IL 60004

Join us for a socially distanced introduction to composting in beautiful North School Park. Kay McKeen, Founder & Executive Director of SCARCE, will discuss the critical importance of composting for our planet, how to set up a backyard composting system, bin options, and the growing popularity of commercial composting. Get your questions answered while you learn how to save money, conserve water, reduce landfill waste, and create a nutrient-rich soil amendment.

This program will be presented live, outdoors. Bring your own blanket or chairs. Masks will be required and appropriate social distancing will be maintained. 

The presentation is weather permitting and regitrants will be notified by email in the event of a weather cancelation.
