Join bestselling authors Megan Miranda and Shari Lapena for an exciting night of thrills as moderated by Mary Kubica. Megan Miranda will be discussing her new book, Such A Quiet Place, which is described as the perfect summer beach read set in a seemingly idyllic neighborhood. Scratch the surface though, and there is deceit and viciousness festering inside the households of this community.  Such A Quiet Place strikes an unnerving chord and will leave you wondering -- do you ever really know your neighbors? With blockbuster novels such as All The Missing Girls, The Perfect Stanger, and The Last House Guest (a Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick), Miranda has established herself as a master of the suspense genre.

Shari Lapena is the international best seller of The Couple Next Door, and has a new book release coming on July 21, Not a Happy Family. The Merton family is well-off and lives in a very wealthy neighborhood in Upstate New York. After their death following an Easter celebration, the three children are left devastated. Or are they? Being left a grand inheritance is only the tip of the ice berg when looking behind the curtain of a family who wasn't as happy as they appeared. Currently living in Toronto, Shari was a lawyer and an English teacher before turning to fiction writing.

Moderator Mary Kubica is no stranger to the fiction thriller genre. A former high school history teacher, Mary holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in History and American Literature. Her first novel, The Good Girl, is a national best seller, and she only went up from there. She’s been described as “a helluva storyteller,” (Kirkus Reviews) and “a writer of vice-like control,” (Chicago Tribune), and her novels have been praised as “hypnotic” (People) and “thrilling and illuminating” (Los Angeles Times).
