Event Description

Join the Arlington Heights Chamber of Commerce for a special ribbon tying event Wednesday, September 22 at the Makerplace. Ribbon tying ceremony at 8 a.m. Guided tours from 8:45 a.m. to 10 a.m.  

 

The Makerplace is the Arlington Heights Memorial Library's new makerspace at 112 N. Belmont Avenue, near Recreation Park, providing the Arlington Heights business community a unique opportunity for making and creating, using the latest technology and creative software, along with flexible workspaces and a commercial-grade kitchen. Laser cutters, 3D printers, embroidery, quilting and sewing machines, computers and cutting-edge technology is available for use at no charge. At the Makerplace you can test out your business ideas by creating prototypes, create branded items, vinyl signage and marketing materials, get cooking in the kitchen and more.  

 

Starting Tuesday, September 21, the Makerplace will be open its regular hours: 

Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, noon- 5 p.m.
