Event Description

North School Park| North Evergreen Ave & E Eastman St.

Join us as we gather to view an ALMOST total solar eclipse. In Arlington Heights, we will experience a partial eclipse with 92.6% totality. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon perfectly aligns with the sun, casting a shadow over our planet and turning day into twilight.

The solar eclipse will begin in Arlington Heights at approximately 12:51 p.m. and reach its maximum point at 2:07 P.M.

Complete activities, learn about the solar eclipse including how to view the eclipse safely, and take a photo at our photo station. In case of inclement weather, watch a live feed of the eclipse and do activities in the Hendrickson Room.

Intended for All Ages

Registering to attend the viewing party at North School Park guarantees viewing glasses for your party. There is no need to pick up glasses at the library prior to the event.
